Oriental cards part 3

Another card made form the Oriental CD.

I used the CD for the background images, the sentiments, and the fan.
Bamboo skewers were used to make the little scroll and the rest of the card was embellished with a few pearls and gems from my stash.
The above close up picture shows the lovely detail in the little circle frame. I have left this merely attached with a ribbon because i intended the frame to be used after the user has finished with the card. It ix easily detached and could be used as a bag charm of attached to a bookmark. I used a button maker to enclose the image therefore the plastic cover will protect the picture.

Oriental card weekend

This weekend was spent in the craft attic using some of Debbi Moore's oriental themed cd's

one decoupage sheet from Debbi Moore Designs
2 bamboo skewers
small piece of green ribbon
1 background sheet ( Oriental CD Debbi Moore Designs )
shop bought flower
sentiment also from Debbi Moore Designs

This picture above shows how I used the other left over piece ( the first layer of the decoupage ) as an extra embelishment for the interior of the card.  I really liked the red or red effect.

Red currants

This year I have managed to beat the birds to the red currant harvest. Although there has been very little sun this year the first batch of berries were ready for picking this morning.

Obviously not enough for a jam making exercise but they are delicious.

Old favourite's

I have had these since I was about 13 years old they remind me of a holiday in France camping. I will not throw them out. They have got shorter ( they used to be full leg jeans) but now they have worn a hole in them any one who knows me knows I hate sewing so out came the fabric glue.
Hope it holds!
