Painting in the sunshine
What could be better than a day sitting out in the sun painting. I 'm not very green fingered (unless its paint) but if nothing ever grows in them these pots still look pretty.

Lampshade class
Had a lovely morning with Joanne form dandelion Lane interiors
This time we were making lampshades with the new fabric she has got into the shop
A bit tricky for one person to manage but with her help an hour later I emerged with my own handmade lampshade ... Sucess
Also got another kit to make another lampshade....
So much crafting to be done ....So little time !!

The recipe
So here it is ....the cold porcelain I have found to be the best
This will make about 300gms of cold porcelain (which goes a very long way)
you will need
1 cup of cornflour
1 cup of PVA glue non toxic
1-2 tablespoon of baby oil
and an old non-stick saucepan
measure out the PVA and the oil into the saucepan and mix in the cornflour mix really well
bring your mix to the stove and heat on a low heat KEEP MIXING the mixture will go through a lumpy stage but keep going when the mixture has all come together in a leather like ball remove from the pot and knead like your making bread (careful it may be hot in the center) until it no longer sticks to your hands i have found if you dust your hands with cornflour its a little less messy but be careful not to add to much or you porcelain will be too brittle
wrap in clingfilm and keep in an air tight box.
You can use the porcelain as soon as it has cooled
To color your clay you can use acrylic paint or food dye. add a small amount at a time and knead in the color will change slightly as it dry's.
happy crafting .

Pendant and bail
Thelma just made this lovely pendant from scratch.
Loads of twisting and turning to make the bail and wrap the wire around the stone.
Thanks to Mrs B's beads for the workshop and how to!

Canvas going going GONE
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and support at today's show at NI Countryside Festivals in the Balmoral Park at the Maze Lisburn.
Thelma Helen and I have been totally overwhelmed by your kind comments and support.
We have sold nearly all the canvases .. Including the ones we had to make all Sunday afternoon while you guys waited patiently for your bespoke creations.
One lucky lady also scooped Thelma's beautifully unique demo piece.
As promised we will make some more soon and these will be available on our soon to be live Etsy store.. So watch this place !
Of course any special requests can be customised at anytime .. Just drop us a comment or email.
Thank you all so much for your support and appreciation .. We Can't wait to do it all again.
