Ardmore Community fun night

Last night saw the opening of Ardmore Comunity Hall Lly's Craft attic were pleased to be invited to run a fun craft activity for the evening
After an evening of "baking" and a morning of clay colouring and ok I admit it a little playing a workshop of cold porcline was set up
On arriving at the hall we were pleased to have been provided with two large tables and lots of chairs or what I thought was lots of chairs this proved to be not quite enough chairs.
Our vere first junior crafter to visit the worshop had broken her arm the day before but with a little help holding her stem she was able to make a very pretty flower (she came back latter and made 2 more) and as she did such a good job she become the owner of one of the silver hair slides from my earlier post
Every one made beautiful roses and many went on the make jewel flowers and some flowers that seem only to grow in the Derryadd area.
The workshop went on throughout the evening and everyone took their creations home some not quite finished although the did get to bring materials home to complete them. We were the last to tidy up as everyone was having such fun. It was a lovely evening and I look forward to working with them again in the future

Wire work necklace

Started this piece in Mrs 'Bs beads class but needed a few statement beads to give it an edge.
I picked up some bead strands at the Debbi Moore day in Hillsborough village centre
I'm very pleased with the warm tones. A nice piece to wear for the up coming cold weather.

Cherry crochet brooch

Well what a horrible rainy here in Northern Ireland .. I decided to make the most of being indoors by making this little cheery cherry brooch.

Considering the weather I opted for one of the free kits that came with issue 43 of Mollie Makes magazine. To be honest I couldn't face going out to get supplies. So needs most. And a FREE project to boot.

The little envelope supplied with the magazine has everything you need including the crochet hook.. Result.

Full written and visual instructions are also given in the magazine too.

Here's my finished cheery cherry brooch. It was very easy to make and quite fun.

Now where are my back issues ?. I'm sure there are other little projects perfect for a really wet afternoon avoiding the football and golf on TV.

Happy crafting.
