Items used .. Card stock, spellbinders flower die and aperture die, paper cutter, adhesive.... Now for a short tutorial on how to make it.
Firstly.. Using your spellbinders cut an aperture in one side of your card and also on an additional piece of a5 card ( the second piece will be used to cover the internal workings when you finish making the trellis )
Cut some 1 cm pieces of your chosen trellis paper
Next turn over one piece of the a5 card to the wrong side and begin threading the 1 cm paper strips through each other to create a trellis effect like the photo below
Turn over the card and this is the effect you will have created... Very nice eh.
Now to cover all those nasty ends up on the inside of the card, simply turn the card over again and stick the second a5 aperture over the entire side
Now it looks very tidy.
And also for added impact, use the leftover cutout aperture to make a lovely panel on the opposite page.
You can stamp your message or greeting here.
Now we can make some paper flowers and leaves to decorate the trellis... Go wild here, I have used paper and vellum to make mine
You can also add some sentiments too for added effect
And here we have the finish result.
Have a go yourself and don't forget to send me your photos of your completed cards as I always love to see them.
Enjoy!
